Let's talk wedding party.

Your wedding party serves so many amazing purposes. They're there for emotional support. They stand by your side while you exchange vows. They support you in planning and help you celebrate along the way.

After years of meeting many bridesmaids and groomsmen, I have a few tips when it comes to having a wedding party and being in one.

As the bride or groom, don't over-ask. I know you want to make everyone feel included, but if the idea of a bridal party of 12 is already stressing you out and there doesn't feel to be any in between, perhaps you just have a Maid of Honor. Or a bridal party of 3. Having a big bridal party is a big investment of time and money for everyone involved, so think carefully before you commit! Make sure each and every person you ask will add value to this experience and be a team player.

This also goes for those who are accepting an ask. If you don't feel that you're in the right place financially or emotionally to invest in someone else's wedding experience, it's ok graciously decline. It may be a little awkward at first, but far better to be honest and participate in another way, than to say yes and then not fully commit.

On the wedding day itself, my plea to all bridesmaids and groomsmen is to please, please remember: this day is about the couple. You are there to support them. Being a great wedding party member looks like: showing up on time, being proactive, asking what you can do to help, staying engaged throughout the wedding, doing what you are asked by the couple.

When you have a strong wedding party around you, the day flows SO smoothly!

PS: This bridal entourage was THE BEST. They had the bride's back all day long and made my job easier! These girls deserved gold stars all day long.

Fits for larger waist-hip girls

I ordered a large. Although it fit, I would have liked it more snug- so I returned for a size Medium- which has not arrived. The large was slightly big in the bust-but the flow of the dress- could have sized down. Hoping the medium will fit perfectly. Overall the dress is beautiful. I love the different ways it can be worn.
